Hello! I’m Sully Barrett, a writer and videographer living in Boston, MA. I’m a second-year Media and Screen Studies major at Northeastern University, minoring in English.
I am currently an intern at CNBC in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, where I work with the News Desk and Strategic Content teams writing articles and assisting with shoots. I am also the Managing Editor for Artistry Magazine, an online & print publication that features NU student work in arts and culture.
I am seeking a summer position where I can explore and develop some of my personal ambitions, including social activism and creative storytelling. I like to talk and love to listen, so please feel free to contact me any time!
Last year I directed & produced a short documentary in the UK about London’s gin culture. I also completed a production internship with Designworks Collective, the Nashville-based holding company of brands like Olivina Men and Paddywax Candles, where I created all kinds of video, photo, and design content for social media. I have worked as a consultant at the NU Writing Center, where I provided writing feedback for faculty and students at all levels.
Before moving to Boston, I grew up in Brentwood, TN for eighteen years. In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, attending concerts, and playing chess.
